We found that the accumulation of monosaccharides such as glucose, fructose and xylose is significantly increased in the dog1-1 mutant, whereas the levels are lowered in the other two genotypes.

Genetic alterations that cannot occur naturally are considered novel and should be carefully evaluated to determine their potential impact on the health of humans, animals and the environment.
